Nnamdi Kanu, agitators cannot scare Nigerian government – Ex Minister

Former Minister of State of Transport and a Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, gubernatorial aspirant in Anambara, John Okechukwu Emeka, has stated that no group has the capacity to make the Nigerian government jittery.
He said this while reacting to the threat by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its leader, Nnamdi Kanu, that the November election will not hold if Biafra is not granted an independent status.
Emeka noted that Kanu and Biafra supporters cannot hold government to ransom.
He advised that threats and ultimatum should be dropped, urging the agitators to demand negotiation for a better deal for the South-east.
His words: “I don’t see how a group can stop an election in the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”‎
“There are issues but we are addressing those issues. We have to restore our core values by bringing hope to the hopeless,” he said.
On the chances of PDP in the November election, Emeka said the decision to zone the governorship to Anambra North will
 help the party do well.
“The PDP constitution allows for a consensus candidate. And the elders of our party have taken the decision to zone the governorship to Anambra north.
”With this, we can provide a formidable front to confront whoever we’ll face in the election”, he said.
