ORAN – Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal on Wednesday has inspected the construction site of the future Olympic stadium in Belgaid, sub-prefecture of Bir El Djir, as part of his working visit to the province of Oran (432-km west of Algiers).
The 40,000-seat stadium, which will host national and international sporting events, is part of the future Olympic Complex, which is stretching over an area of 105 hectares.

The DZD11.830-billion future Olympic Complex, which is due to host the Mediterranean Games in 2021, includes a 40,000-seat stadium, a 4,800-seat athletics stadium, a stadium replica, a training centre, a 290-space parking and other annex facilities.
The project, whose construction work was launched in December 2008, has reached 75% completion and is due to be delivered by December 2017.
