ANGOLA: Shoprite Unveils Major New Investment For Market




According to local reports, the South African group will pump $571.7m into the country over the next five years, which will be used to open 15 shopping centres, 22 supermarkets, and a warehouse. It will also upgrade four existing supermarkets.  The moves are expected to create more than 5,600 new jobs during the period.
Shoprite currently operates 29 supermarkets in Angola.
