30 Manchester United fans die after being electrocuted while watching Anderlecht match



At least 30 football fans died in Nigeria in an incident during Manchester United's match against Anderlecht last night.
The fans, who are all described as Manchester United supporters, were electrocuted when a high-tension power cable broke from its mooring and collapsed on them.



They were watching the match on satellite television in a "football viewing centre," according to the News Agency of Nigeria. 
The incident took place in Calabar, a city in Nigeria's Cross River state.
United, who won the match 2-1 to advance to the Europa League semi-finals, have a huge following in Nigeria and are among the country's most popular soccer teams.
